tour the shop
We are very proud of the eclectic, wide range of goods we stock (in addition to our terrific plants and flowers, of course). From executive pens and cufflinks to candles and frames, purses and jewelry to stuffed bears and chocolates, we never stop scouring trade-shows, talking with local artists and crafts people, and doing whatever else it takes to find one-of-a-kind gifts you'll be proud to give or pleased to receive.
We really do have something for everyone.

Sure, they used to be called 'scented candles' -- but then again the scents were either vanilla, something oddly like fermented lemons mixed with pine tar, and peppermint (at least during Christmas at my grandma's). Thing is, candles, oils, incense, and soaps have come a long, long way. And yes. Sometimes at the end of the day we slip out the back of the shop with one of these and go home, turn off the cell phone, and really re-energize, so there must be something to this.

Beaded flowers, stuffed bears, pottery pigs, and ceramic cats. It's true that LA zoning ordinances require all flower shops to carry these -- but if you're going to do a thing, do it right. Ours are extra nice- hold the kitsch.

We really do accommodate a wide range of tastes. If you're downtown and want to do your shopping for her or him in one stop, just drop by.
-
You might think that Vaca has it easy, lounging about being attended to by our customers all day, but you've no idea the travails of the modern city dog lifestyle. And staying fit and limber is just part of it.

Linda, Peggy, and Vaca take a breather outside the shop
-
Says Linda: 'When I was a child if you'd told me I could have a job where I would spend lots of time tying bows -- large, small, fluffy, and the simple -- I'd have been ecstatic. Oh, how times change. Some days when we have an order for 40 or 50 table center pieces -- isn't this what grandchildren are for?'
-
Peggy succumbs, at the close of a long day, by coming down with a terrible case of the giggles
-
You think this stuff writes itself? Actually, we do have a 'web guy' (that's what we call him, never asked what his real name is, hmmmmm) that helps, but we do all the heavy lifting. Really.
